Why are we here?

The Liberation formed in 2022 as a collective of community space holders committed to collective liberation. We have collectively offered community spaces that center people with marginalized communities and healing. Operating as a collective shared costs and administrative burden and makes this work more sustainable. In January 2026, we downsized after a sudden loss of a physical space we had called home for two years. We are now centering our capacity on hosting spaces for transgender, Two Spirit, and gender nonconforming people. We hope to expand once again in the future.
